Board to consider Exec. Dir. appointment at next meeting

The Board of Directors of the Health District of Northern Larimer County is scheduled to make a decision on the appointment of the next Executive Director of the Health District during its upcoming meeting on March 8, 2022.

The board will consider making the appointment of candidate Robert Williams, and will also consider an employment agreement with Williams.

Williams is currently a Senior Advisor on Special Projects for Hobson & McReynolds, LLC. Recently, Williams served as the Executive Director of Boulder County’s Housing and Human Services Department, the Chief Policy and Program Officer for Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services’ Bureau of Behavioral Health, the Chief Accountability Officer for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Deputy Director for Walworth County Health And Human Services, and as a Bureau Director within the division of Child Protective Services for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services. Williams has a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Science in Government Accountancy from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Health District announced three finalists for the position on Feb. 17. In addition to Williams, the finalists included Scott Smith, Executive Director for the Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County; and Christina Taylor, Chief Executive Officer for the Early Childhood Council of Larimer County.

The Health District board has been engaged in an extensive selection process that included community and staff input for several months.

If approved, Williams would start April 11, replacing retiring Executive Director Carol Plock.
