Quit-tobacco class starts May 25
A new Step Free from Tobacco class begins Wednesday, May 25, 6 p.m., at the Health District of Northern Larimer County, 120 Bristlecone Drive, Fort Collins.
The class lasts six weeks and includes free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges for up to three months. It is led by a master-level certified tobacco treatment specialist.
The cost for residents of the Health District is $10-$100 per person, depending on income. Out-of-district residents pay $100. A "buddy discount" of 25 percent is available for district residents who enroll in the program with a friend or relative. The Health District covers the northern two-thirds of Larimer County and includes the cities of Fort Collins, Timnath, LaPorte, Wellington and Red Feather Lakes.
Please arrive 30 minutes early for the first class to allow time for registration.
In addition to group classes to help people quit tobacco, the Health District also offers low-cost individual and couples sessions by appointment.
