Free presentation in Sept. for tobacco users and their friends, families
Wondering what it takes to quit tobacco? Health District Tobacco Treatment Specialists Norma Pomerleau and Rosi Davidson will hold a one-hour presentation for tobacco users and others interested in learning more about how to successfully quit smoking or chewing tobacco. They'll discuss the importance of setting a quit date and strategies for staying quit. Participants also will learn how counseling quadruples a person’s chances of success when combined with nicotine replacement products such as patches, gum or lozenges. The presentation is Wednesday, Sept. 3, 6 - 7 p.m. at Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive.
The Health District also offers individual and couples sessions on quitting tobacco Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5p.m. The next Step Free from Tobacco class starts Sept. 10, 6 pm, at the Health District. For more information or to register, call 970-224-5209.
